How will the money be used?
As the world has changed, so has teaching. Today's teachers need to be well-versed in content-based curriculum and technology. Teachers need up-to-date technology (LCD projectors, laptop computers, document-reader cameras, etc.) to teach today's students. At Patwin Elementary School in Davis, our approach to technology is progressing, but slowly. Some teachers have technology tools to use in the classroom, but others do not. Some teachers have technology, but no way to mount or transport that technology in the classroom. Other teachers have broken TVs and VCRs, and would love the use of an LCD projector or document-reader. Our school budgets are stretched thin. This grant would provide equity to all students and teachers at our school.
